1. Choose one of the political cartoons below to analyze and discuss. #1 #2 #3 #4
2. Write about the cartoon you chose by answering the following questions in a typed paper. (Write the number of the cartoon you chose at the top of your paper) Submit a-c as a team and do d individually (at least 3/4 page):
a. Describe what is literally going on in the cartoon. Who is in it? What are they doing? What are the people discussing? What objects do you see? Where does it take place? Do you see any symbols?
b. What does the cartoon mean? What is its message? What is it saying about immigration? What current event is it referencing?
c. What special interest groups would agree/disagree with the cartoon's message? Why? Who is the cartoonist's intended audience (i.e. Who would find this cartoon funny or enlightening?)
d. Do you agree with the cartoonist's message? Why or why not?
