Title:  Life In Prison     Author:  Stanley "Tookie" Williams      Library Location:  365 Wil
Summary :  This story is about his experience in prison. He was sentenced to death for the murder of four people during an attempted bank robbery. Throughout the story his goal is to lead teens into making the right decisions and staying away from drugs or anything that deals with violence.
Opinion:  I really enjoyed the message Stanley was trying to get across because teens oftentimes like to get involved with gangs and drugs simply because they think it's cool and want to fit in. Prison is like a lesson that a person who is involved in any bad activity should go through.

Title:  The Catcher in the Rye         Author:  J.D Salinger        Library Location:  FIC Sal

Summary:  This story was about a teenage boy named Holden Caulfield who goes on an independent quest to find himself in the big city of New York. Upon leaving his school, he comes across many different situations that a "normal" teenager wouldn't, while living alone in the big city. He eventually reunites with his little sister, and they both spend the day together until Holden decides to go back home.
Opinion:  I loved this book because Holden's attitude towards life was very straight-forward and humorous. He has clearly been through a lot in his life, and deals with it with bravery and logical wits. I enjoyed this book very much because his adventure kept me wanting to learn more about him, what he was about to encounter next, and what he was to do after.

Title:  The Stranger       Author:  Albert Camus     Library Location:  FIC Cam

  6. Summary:  The book The Stranger is about a young man named Muersualt who is currently overcoming the death of his mother.  Muersault never  shows remorse for anything and has a kind of "showing no love" mentality.  That is until he gets involved with a woman named Marie. The two  share many happy times together on the beach .  Later he runs into a man named Raymond who invites him over for dinner.  Raymond's demeanor in the book puts him out as somewhat of a pimp that uses and abuses the women he makes acquaintances with.  Raymond and Muersault begin to hang and Raymond brings danger to Muersault's life and well being.  They went ot  the beach and got into a scuffle that leads to Muersault's arrest and eventually his death.
Opinion:   This story really teaches you to take into consideration everything around you because all things happen for a reason.  So take your time to look around and realize your actions because in the end they all add up and that could lead to something good or lead to your destruction similar to Muersault in the book The Stranger.
