CURRENT EVENT ACTIVITY
1. Find a current event article (within the last three months) about some happening in regards to immigration. [each of you needs to find your own article and do this activity separately]
You can use these sources:
CNN (Cable News Network)
NPR (National Public Radio)
[You will have to type in "immigration" in the search box at each of these websites]
2. Once you choose an article, print it out.
3. While you read it, annotate it (Adler- style). Make at least 7 annotations.
4. Answer the following questions in a 2 page written response:
a. Summarize the article (include WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, HOW)
b. What do you think about what you have just read? Do you agree? Why or why not? How does it make you feel? How do you connect to it?
